Part 1: Separation of Church and State

Our leader should run the government based on three things: The Constitution, Facts, and the people.
The Constitution:
First, for me, the constitution states that there is a 'separation of church and state.' Now I understand there is a strong majority of people in this country who believe in the devine, and that is fine. But putting any type of religion into any part of our government restricts what people of a different view from their own liberty and pursuit of happiness.

Government.

There is an illusion in this country that there are only two sides to pick: Right/Red/Republican or Left/Blue/Democrat. This is completely false. People are far too diverse and mixed to be that simplistic. There are a lot of people who do not agree with either political party. There are also many people who think that parts of each party has good points. There are people who are pro gun and pro choice. Some people are pro universal health care and pro torture. Why can't our choices for president be as complex as our own views? Why do we have to choose between people that want to rule the government on their views?
